How to Buy K-pop Concert Tickets in Korea as a Foreigner (2026)
Last checked: October 1, 2026
Getting a ticket is the hardest part of a K-pop trip. Most Seoul concerts sell out in minutes, and a large share of seats goes to fan club members before general sale even opens. This guide covers what you can do on your own — and what you can't.
Step 1: Find out where the concert sells
Every concert announcement names its ticketing platform. Check the official notice on the artist's Weverse, fan café or agency site first — not a reposted screenshot.
Platforms with a global/English version that foreigners can generally use:
- NOL World (formerly Interpark Global)
- Melon Ticket Global
- YES24 Ticket (English site)
- Weverse (for many HYBE-label artists)
- Ticketlink
Some agencies run their own systems. Some concerts — especially certain fan club presales — sell only on Korean sites that require Korean identity verification. If the official notice doesn't mention a global platform, you may not be able to book directly.
Step 2: Register and verify early
Create your account weeks ahead, not on sale day:
- Use your legal name exactly as in your passport.
- Many high-demand shows are "verified members only". Passport verification can take a day or two, and it must be finished before the sale opens.
- Add an international Visa or Mastercard and check that it works.
Step 3: Fan club presale vs general sale
Most big concerts have a fan club presale first. If your group sells an official global membership (often through Weverse Shop or the agency's own shop), buying it before the membership deadline is usually the single biggest factor in getting a seat.
Read the notice carefully: there is often a difference between buying the membership and registering it for the concert. Missing the registration window means no presale access.
Step 4: On sale day
- Sync your clock to Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9).
- Log in 10–15 minutes early and use a stable wired or strong Wi-Fi connection.
- You'll enter a queue. Don't refresh — that usually sends you to the back.
Step 5: Ticket pickup at the venue
Many foreigner tickets are picked up on the day at the venue's ticket booth. Bring:
- Your passport (the name must match the booking)
- Your booking confirmation number
Pickup lines get long on concert days. Arrive early.
What to avoid
- Resale and "ticket proxy" services. Tickets bought this way can be cancelled, and the name-match check at pickup means you may be refused entry.
- Scam sellers on social media. If it isn't the official platform, assume it's a risk.
If you don't get a ticket
Plenty of fans still fly in for the concert weekend: merch booths, fan events around the venue, pop-ups and birthday cafes. Plan your trip around your bias to see what else is on during your dates.
